One of the most important factors when deciding to join a company is the benefits program they offer. All employees deserve a return on time and energy invested in the job. Employees want support, understanding, flexibility, recognition, and all the things that let them know their efforts are appreciated and that they are valued as an individual.
JDM has developed a benefits program that provides for the well-being for the employee and their family.
All associates who work thirty hours or more per week on an annual average basis are considered Full-time and are eligible for the complete benefits package.
Please review the details of our benefits plan below
Medical Care Coverage
JDM realizes that our associates may experience injury or become ill periodically. To protect our associates from financial loss incurred as a result of treatment and to provide a competitive compensation package, JDM offers medical care benefits.
All of our full-time associates are eligible to participate in medical benefits including a co-pay prescription drug coverage plan, at a minimal premium per pay. The plan provided by HealthPlus is equivalent to Hospital/Surgical/Major Medical coverage. Highlights of the plan include: Full coverage for most preventative services, minimal co-pays for typical services, and 100% coverage of the Usual and Customary Rate (UCR) for other services performed by participating providers up to a modest Out Of Pocket limit. Out of network services are covered, but at a lower coinsurance percentage, 70%. Dependent children over the age of 19 are not eligible unless enrolled as a full-time student or totally disabled.
Dental Care Coverage
JDM offers a voluntary dental care plan to all of our full-time associates eligible to participate in the plan provided by American General (AIG). Benefits of the plan include the following: Routine Exams, Fluoride treatments, Fillings, extractions, crowns, Dentures, veneers etc. Preventive care is not subject to a deductible.

Benefits of the plan include the following provided they are performed by an ophthalmologist or optometrist: Examinations (every year), Frames (Every two years), Lenses (every year), and Contact Lenses (every year)
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
To help our associates keep their medical/dependent care expenses as low as possible, JDM offers two flexible spending accounts. All active full-time employees are eligible to participate in the flexible spending account benefits. The intent of medical flex care is to pay for expenses not covered through any other medical, dental or vision plan for the employees and their family. The intent of the dependent flex care is to pay for expenses employees incur for the care of a dependent/child.
Short Term Disability
JDM would like to help all of our associates who my suffer financial loss incurred as a result of an extended leave due to a disabling condition, therefore we offer a voluntary short term disability benefit to all full-time associates eligible to participate. The benefit amount is 60% of weekly earnings up to a $400 weekly maximum and 26 week benefit duration. The benefits are offered by American General (AIG).
Long Term Disability
Associates may experience catastrophic injury or illness during the course of their employment with JDM. To protect associates from financial loss incurred as a result of absence from work due to prolonged injury or illness, long-term disability benefits are provided at no cost to all full-time associates. Once a claim is approved, the LTD benefit coverage pays 60% of your monthly compensation to a maximum of $3000.00 per month for a condition causing disability. American General (AIG) administers the employer-provided plan.
401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan
The 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan allows associates to set aside pre-tax dollars on a regular basis through payroll deductions. All associates (full and part-time) are eligible to participate in the voluntary payroll deduction of pre-tax dollars from 1%-80% of their compensation until they reach the maximum calendar year limit. All new hires into JDM are automatically enrolled in the salary deferral plan after 3 months of employment at 3% of their salary, unless they specifically opt-out of participating. JDM associates enter the salary deferral portion of the plan through an on-line enrollment process, and all deferral election and percentage changes are effective the first of the following month after the change is entered.
